Yuejin Lantern Festival​​​​​​

The Yuejin Lantern Festival is an annual contemporary light art event held in Yanshui District, Taiwan. Unlike traditional lantern festivals, this event features site-specific installations created by renowned contemporary artists from Taiwan and abroad. Each piece is a unique reflection of the artist’s signature style, thoughtfully integrated into the local landscape and historical geography of Yanshui.

The key visual for the 2015 festival was inspired by the vibrant imagery of traditional silk balls (caīqiú) and the hydrographic patterns of Yanshui’s waterways. By blending these elements with the poetic imagery of moonlight, the design aimed to immerse visitors in a world of vivid colours and artistic wonder.
