Spotlight Taiwan​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

​This is the activity identification system and related designs for the "Scotland Taiwan Cultural Festival" jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture Taiwan and the University of Edinburgh, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture Taiwan.

 

Various considerations were made in font selection, layout design, and visual elements to meet the style acceptable to both Eastern and Western audiences. Chinese calligraphy strokes were used to outline the word "Taiwan" in English, while elegant serif fonts and modern sans-serif fonts were used for the overall text arrangement. As the Taiwan Film Festival was one of the main activities in this series, I utilized numerous photographs from films and employed montage techniques in the layout, aiming to create a magical scenario blending different cultural elements. The colour scheme was also carefully considered and defined.

The event occurred in Edinburgh from 2013 to 2014 and continued for several years after that.
